4:15 is the debut EP of Dancing Procession of Ecternach, a Richmond, VA post-metal improvisational drone trio. Having performed in various basements around the state, this EP finds the band returning to a more cohesive, coherent vision of the music that they want to make.
Called "4:15" to mock the absolutely minuscule length of most songs these days.
Like night and day, this EP rides two competing trains: the first track swells and tinkles like a fresh spring being slowly decayed through exposure to poisonous radiation and will surely draw comparisons to bands like Tortoise, Frank Zappa, The Lick Lizards and of course, The Stinky Salmon Brigadiers.
The second track is DPoE in true DPoE form: A tour de hell featuring guest vocals from The Monster, singer of Fredericksburg, VA scream-death post-punk orchestra Murderlovin' Mothers. The nearly 20 minute long drone piece spans straight up chord bashing, a melodic, improvisational section in the middle, and then the noisy finish.
